Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Q: Can I use FacePixie in the bathroom?
A: This product is not waterproof. You should not use it in the bathroom or in humid areas where it may get wet.
Q: How often should I use FacePixie?
A: Treatment time per individual may vary. But we recommend for you to use FacePixie at least 2-3 times a week, with a total maximum of 10-20mins per session. Chromatherapy and Skin Cryotherapy treatments are safe to use every day and for as often as needed by your skin. However, you may have to limit the use of EMS function to once a day, every other day. Over stimulating your skin can cause adverse effects like breakouts and skin reactions. RF Cleansing and RF Moisture modes are safe to be used daily as well.
Q: How long is the charging time?
A: It takes about 2 hrs for your FacePixie to fully charge or until the battery icon on the LCD screen stops blinking.
Q: How do I clean my FacePixie?
A: Use a soft tissue and put a little bit of rubbing alcohol to remove any skincare residue on the plate. You may also use cotton swabs with alcohol to get in between the LED lights.
Q: Why can't my cotton pad fit on the magnetic head?
A: Your cotton might be too thick for the device. We normally split the cotton pad in half and it fits wonderfully.
Q: Why can't I see dirt on the cotton?
A: Dirt is removed even though it may not be visible on the cotton. The amount of visible dirt on the cotton can vary between individual.
Q: How much lotion or gel should I use for each treatment?
A: FacePixie is designed to achieve better effects with sufficient use of lotions and/or gel. Apply lotion or gel on cotton so that the whole surface of the electrode head is wet. Add more when you feel it is not enough.
Q: Why does my skin blush after use?
A: This is due to using RF for deep heating. If it bothers you, use the COOL mode or apply blue ice to cool down your skin.
Q: Why do I feel a tingly sensation on my face and hands?
A: This is due to using RF for deep heating. If it bothers you, use the COOL mode to cool down your skin.
Q: Why does the head do not get warm in RF mode?
A: RF mode is designed to electrically warm the skin tissue and not the treatment head itself.
Q: Why does my skin don't feel warm when using RF cleansing, RF moisture, RF EMS, or RF LED mode?
A: RF mode is designed to produce a very gentle thermal heat therapy. Move the treatment head more slowly or press harder against the skin surface. It's also possible that the cotton is too dry, so you can add a little more skin serum to moisten the cotton. When the RF symbol lights up permanently, the RF is on. However, do note that the RF function turns on and off intermittently
Q: Shouldn't I wear protective eye wear when using Chromatherapy?
A: No, just as long as you don't stare directly to the LED lights, you'll be fine. Keep in mind that staring directly into bright lights may increase macular degeneration.
